And the winners of “Best Organic 2021” are…

Bio verlag presented the “Best Organic” award for the third time on November 26th, 2020. The award-winning organic products were determined after a detailed Schrot & Korn customer survey. The readers tried out their selected products and rated them in different categories. Particularly well represented: vegan foods. “With this, Best Organic also makes the trends in the industry visible,” says project manager Franziska Karthaus.

A good 5,000 applicants responded to Schrot & Korn’s call to put organic products to the test. 800 of them were selected to rate the participating products. Top or flop? 100 respondents per product rated the items based on a range of criteria such as taste, packaging design and texture. 27 companies with 35 products faced the judgment of consumers. Both food and natural cosmetics are included.

The award went to the products that received at least 80 percent of the highest possible rating. Twenty-seven of these products achieved ratings between 80 and 90 percent, and five items even cracked the 90 percent mark. The manufacturers are now allowed to use the label Beste Bio for one year.
