Back to Business, Sweets & Snacks Expo 2021

On May 14, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new guidance indicating that fully vaccinated people may forgo masking and social distancing in many indoor situations. This latest guidance, combined with the CDC previously stating that fully vaccinated people can travel, is great news as we head into the summer and begin resuming some of our normal activities.

Impact of new guidance in the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianapolis

Masks remain required to attend the Sweets & Snacks Expo, and Marion County health officials reiterated that the mask mandate in Indianapolis remains in effect. In issuing updated guidance on masking and events, the CDC said that masks are still advisable for large gatherings. The more precautions we can take together as attendees, the safer we will all be, which is why it is so critical to wear a mask at this year’s show.

Our commitment to these safety protocols has been significant, and they are critical to putting on a safe and productive show this year. Safety measures like masking, social distancing, daily temperature checks and over $7 million in sanitation and safety features inside the Indiana Convention Center are key to attendee safety and health.

The 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo may look a little different, but the show will still be full of new products, insights and opportunities to connect with leaders in the industry.

This is all such exciting news and a sign that we are on the verge of a post-pandemic “normal.” The countdown is officially on, and we will see you in Indianapolis in a few short weeks.
