Berlin Packaging acquires Novapack

Berlin Packaging, a world leader in the supply of glass, plastic and metal containers and closures, has announced the acquisition of Newpack, an important company in the glass packaging sector, based in Savona, Italy. Newpack was founded by a team of entrepreneurs who are experts in glass packaging and the food and beverage markets, particularly in the Italian wine sector. It has an extensive distribution network throughout Northern Italy, which includes Liguria, Piedmont and Veneto.

Newpack is the tenth acquisition made in Europe by Berlin Packaging since 2016, confirming its commitment to offering packaging solutions in all areas, in all segments of the vertical markets of the European continent. “The acquisition of Newpack allows us to expand our offer in the wine sector, an important market in Europe. We expect our European sales force to help accelerate Newpack’s growth in the wine sector. Bruni Glass, our premium brand for specialty glass products, has a renowned innovation center based in Milan; in this way we can offer Newpack our expertise in the design of bottles for the wine sector”, explained Paolo Recrosio, CEO of Berlin Packaging Europe.
