Vietnam consumers are increasing its’ awareness and actions towards choosing food products and packages which offer both convenience on-the go, but also that downsize on plastics’ use and excess resource-use.

Even though the pandemic has had some effects to volume growth in the country, due to changed consumer purchasing behaviours during extensive lockdowns, Ecolean sees great opportunity in the country. According to a recent report from Euromonitor, on-the-go consumption are destined to rise again after Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted. “Vietnam is a portion-sized packaging market, since many people lead busy lifestyles and need to consume their meals and snacks on-the-go”, says Thuy Dinh. “FoodtechVN will be the perfect venue to show how we can meet these increased consumer demands”.
