‘European Dairy, Olive Oil and Table Olives Webinar’

Organised by European Union, the ‘European Dairy, Olive Oil and Table Olives Webinar’ will be organised online on 18 March 2021, Thursday from 3.30pm – 5.30pm (GMT +8) happening online. 3.45 – 4.00pm: Opening speech and introduction of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) and its concrete benefits for trade relations between EU and Singapore in the food and beverage industry by Ms Justyna Lasik, Head of Economic and Trade Section, European Union Delegation to Singapore 

4.00 – 4.20pm: The characteristics of EU Food products and its benefits in the context of the EUSFTA with a focus on Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) labels by Chef Beppe De Vito, iLido Restaurants & Bars 

4.20 – 4.40pm: Benefits of EU-Singapore EUSFTA for Singapore and ASEAN markets for dairy products by Ms Ary Taoubi, Channel Manager at Classic Fine Foods, Singapore 

4.40 – 4.55pm: Delectable creations using dairy, olive oil and table olive products from EU, demonstrated by Chef Teo Yeow Siang, Culinary Director at Three Embers 

5.00 – 5.15pm: Benefits of EU-Singapore EUSFTA for Singapore and ASEAN markets for olive oil and table olives – speaker to be announced 

5.15 – 5.20pm: Closing remarks by Ms Justyna Lasik, Head of Economic and Trade Section, European Union Delegation to Singapore

The introduction of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement in 2019 has improved market access by simplifying trade procedures and removing all tariffs on certain EU products, making European food more price competitive and attractive.
