Meat Attraction: Creating a digital community

  • From October 2021, Meat Attraction LIVEConnect will be the new international digital networking platform – a stepping stone to the in-person event in March 2022, fulfilling the goal of boosting the sector’s international commercial activity and promoting its visibility, together with knowledge, training and interaction between professionals from throughout the industry
  • This will be an event that will keep sector activity alive, creating business opportunities and fostering an exchange of interests and knowledge.

In show of their support for the sector, IFEMA and the Meat Attraction Organising Committee have agreed to launch a video conference event in October 2021 which will serve as a stepping stone to the in-person event scheduled to run from 7 to 9 March 2022, whilst also ensuring that the sector’s commercial and promotional activities are kept alive. This will be a unique event that will pave the way for a bigger fair in 2022 to be held in a safe environment and within a context of the recovery and reactivation of business opportunities at a domestic and international level. With that in mind, Japan and Canada will feature as invited markets to promote the export potential of meat products in those countries, strengthening the internationalisation of Meat Attraction.

Until then, and with a view to helping to reactivate the sector, IFEMA is already working on the Meat Attraction LIVEConnect digital event to be launched in October 2021 on an innovative platform with an artificial intelligence system. It will be the largest professional community and social network in the world for the meat industry across its value chain. This new digital platform will keep sector activity alive, fostering business opportunities and an exchange of interests and knowledge. Every week from October until the in-person event will feature content and seminars based on product categories, strategic international markets with B2B between buyers and the exhibition, all areas of the value chain and the different Meat Attraction sections (Ibericoland, Ecorganic market, the Butcher’s Shop, Innovation Hub etc.), which will help to promote networking and interaction among the various sector professionals on this ground-breaking technological platform.
