Today, on February 12, 2023, Messe München is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a location in Munich-Riem. With the move from Theresienhöhe to the former airport site in 1998, the Munich trade fair company advanced to become a leading and globally active trade fair network. The 200,000m2 exhibition center in Munich, 18 exhibition halls, congress centers and the 414,000 m2 outdoor a reserve as a venue for high-quality events . In addition, the company has subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and South America as well as around 70 foreign agencies that look after over 100 countries. The importance of Messe München as an economic factor for the city, state and federal government is unbroken. Every year, exhibitors and visitors to the Munich trade fairs and congresses generate an average total turnover of 3.3 billion euros nationwide or even 4.3 billion euros in a bauma year.
