SIG launches “Plant 360 Asset Health Monitoring”

SIG has launched a new digital smart factory solution “Plant 360 Asset Health Monitoring”, taking an important next step in proactive services for customers to improve their operations and ensure the highest food safety and quality while reducing costs. SIG now makes it possible to transform data into insights.

More than ever, food and beverage manufacturers are striving to increase productivity and meet the highest possible quality demands, while at the same time keeping costs to a minimum. By monitoring and analysing data from SIG filling machines via the new integrated software solution, SIG experts can transform this data into insights and prevent unplanned manufacturing downtimes.

Almarai, the largest food and beverage manufacturing and distribution company in the Middle East is SIG’s first customer to use Plant 360 Asset Health Monitoring.

Robert Ross, Dairy & Juice Manufacturing Manager CCP2 at Almarai: “SIG’s smart factory solutions, including the new Plant 360 Asset Health Monitoring, provide essential monitoring of our various filling line parameters and flag any irregularities. This continuous feedback and corrective actions allow us to avoid unplanned downtime in running filling lines.”

SIG is continuously innovating to help customers achieve the highest quality and safety goals. The key is reliable, superior system quality and performance and SIG’s technology increases the scope of components monitored to provide unmatched benefits to customers.

Dr Christian Grefrath, Senior Global Product Manager Service at SIG: “By regularly monitoring the data of SIG filling machines, our service increases the utilisation of the filling equipment at our customers’ manufacturing sites to reduce unplanned downtime. This significantly reduces costs yet increases sales opportunities for our customers.”

SIG has set up a network of Reliability Centres worldwide to ensure its senior system experts can analyse data from its filling lines and provide fast and efficient insights to help customers. SIG is using the standard connectivity solution Plant 360 Connector to guarantee safe and reliable data flow between customers and SIG.

Rony Daher, Technical Manager KSA & Iraq at SIG: “By being able to monitor the filling line’s health in real-time and communicate to our customers immediately, we can provide the highest production efficiency for customers like Almarai.

Following the Reliability Centres in Dubai (UAE) and Linnich (Germany), SIG is now opening a Reliability Centre in São Paulo (Brazil). Others are already in the pipeline and will open in 2022.

Rômulo Andrade, Services Manager at SIG South America: “With our digital solutions such as Plant 360 Remote Services and Plant 360 Asset Health Monitoring and the service and support provided by our Reliability Centres, SIG is taking the next step into the world of Industry 4.0 together with customers.”
