Café de Colombia is set to entice visitors at Dubai Expo 2020

Fifteen Colombian coffee exporters in search of new businesses and customers of international stature are hosting a coffee tasting session at Expo 2020 Dubai to introduce their products to the event’s global visitors. The activity kicked off on February 22, 2022 and will run until February 26, 2022.

To attract more visitors to the exciting activity at the Colombia Pavilion, the icon that represents coffee producers of Colombia, Juan Valdez (fictional character), is also present for all the coffee tasting sessions.

Exporters have been designated with exclusive rooms with window displays during the event to enjoy the unique taste of Colombia coffee and explore partnership opportunities. The coffee tasting commences at 11 a.m. on the terrace of the 4th floor of the Colombia Pavilion.

Buyers who are interested to join the activity are encouraged to send a message to craftcoffees@cafedecolombia.com, with their name, company and email address. Their information will be shared with all the exporters present for the event.

The Juan Valdez stores, a multinational coffeehouse chain based in Colombia that specializes in coffee retail and the Coffee Cultural Landscape (PCCC) have also made an outstanding impression at the Expo, as the ongoing world exposition in Dubai expects to attract more than 25 million people throughout its 180-day run.

The 2,000-square-meter Colombia Pavilion located in a four-square-kilometer citadel showcases the various properties of each region such as The western Andes highlights the PCCC and Antioquia, with its mountains, coffee and flowers.

The Expo is an ideal opportunity for Colombia, which is well-known for its coffee, to showcase the unique properties of the country’s coffee and for Colombian businesses to explore new global partnerships.
