Wiggensbach Organic Dairy Show: Ecological autumn market with organic products, factory tours and more

The autumn market of the Wiggensbach organic dairy showhas had a great tradition since the company was founded in 2003. After a forced two-year break, the Allgäu-based company on Sunday, September 18th, came up with some ideas. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the premises of the Wiggensbacher Käseschmiede, the all organic-certified market stalls offered culinary delicacies, but also jewelery and ceramics as well as products from its own production. The organic traders had felt goods in their range as well as decorative items, oils and much more.

In a pre-event release, Managing Director of Wiggensbach organic show dairy, Franz Berchtold said, “We are very happy that we can finally host the autumn market again without restrictions. The market for organically grown products has often been a magnet for visitors in recent years. We are also hoping for a great response in 2022.”

In the festival hall, the physical well-being of visitors of all ages was catered for in a spirit of good taste. Kässpatzen and grilled sausages were on the menu, as were coffee and cake. All dishes and drinks came from controlled organic cultivation. All little guests could let off steam with a children’s program and on a huge pile of sand. The European champion of balloon artists, Tobi van Deisner, offered something spectacular.

In September, the team around Berchtold received a winner’s plaque each for the varieties “Wiggensbacher Gute Laune” and “Wiggensbacher Roter Casanova” from the hands of the Bavarian Minister of Agriculture Michaela Kaniber at a celebration in Munich. Both types of cheese took first place in their categories in the “Wanted for Bavarian Cheese Treasures!” competition.
