SIGEP 2022, the ambassador of dolce food service is back

Saturday will see the physical return of SIGEP by IEG – Italian Exhibition Group. At Rimini Expo Centre, from 12th to 16th March, the 43rd International Trade Show of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery and Coffee puts dolce foodservice and the HORECA world at the centre of business with its decidedly international flair and the recognizability of a typically Italian product. At the Show, 950 exhibiting brands spread over an area of 90 thousand square metres for a sector that is estimated to have generated a total turnover of 9.5 billion euros in Italy in 2021.

THE OPENING CERIMONY
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday at 11.00 am in the South Hall (entrance from via Emilia). Speakers: Lorenzo Cagnoni, President of Italian Exhibition Group; Jamil Sadegholvaad, Mayor of Rimini; Stefano Bonaccini, President of Emilia-Romagna Region; Gian Marco Centinaio, Undersecretary of State for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.

SUSTAINABILITY, THE KEYSTONE OF OUT-OF-HOME
Later on in the South Hall, at 2 pm, a talk on the theme of “Sustainability as a driver for the growth of eating out” will take place.  After the welcome address by Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group, the speakers will include: Fabio Fava, Director of the Interdepartmental Centre Alma Mater Institute on Healthy Planet (Alma Healthy Planet) and Scientific/Technical Coordinator for the National Coordination Group for Bioeconomy at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers; Daniele Fattibene, researcher at the International Affairs Institute (IAI); Cecilia Manget, Head of Foodservice Europe for The NPD Group.

ALSO PRESENT, THE GREAT MASTERS OF ARTISAN DOLCE PRODUCTS
The Gelato, Pastry, Choco, Bakery and Coffee sectors will be represented at the show in all their various forms with a focus on product innovation linked by the recurring theme of sustainability. There will also be Vision Plaza, with non-stop talks on supply chain trends, consumers, technologies and market strategies in various countries around the world. And then the four Arenas dedicated to Gelato, Pastry, Bakery and Coffee in a continuous alternation of events, competitions and demonstrations with the great world masters of artisan dolce products.

SIGEP, AN INTERNATIONAL HUB OF THE DOLCE FOODSERVICE SUPPLY CHAIN
The event will also welcome numerous buyer delegations arriving from the American and European continents, the Mediterranean and Gulf areas, as well as South East and Central Asia. In all, over 300 buyers from more than 70 countries, with 3,500 meetings scheduled.
The 43rd edition of Sigep will bring together all the business communities along the supply chain, thus becoming an international hub and incubator of innovation and new trends for the global scenario. Subsequently, from 16th to 18th March, space will be given to the digital upgrade (Digital Agenda), which will offer visitors from more distant markets three days of online meetings with exhibitors at the event.
