Macfrut 2023 presented in Mali

During a trade mission to Mali, Macfrut, the international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, was presented in the capital city of Bamako to roughly 80 Malian professionals, associations and the local media, proving that this event – held at the Rimini Expo Centre – is attracting a great deal of interest.

Mali was among the countries that attended the last two editions of the fruit and vegetable trade fair. In fact, many Malian companies in the sector participated last year, and many more are expected to attend the upcoming edition, scheduled from 3 to 5 May 2023. One of Africa’s largest producers of mangoes, Mali urgently needs both pre-harvest (irrigation and technologies applied to agriculture) and post-harvest infrastructure (it lacks a cold chain) and sees Macfrut as a driving force for boosting its own development.

Macfrut was presented by President Renzo Piraccini and Federica Gallo from the Macfrut International Office, with the participation of Stefano Dejak, the Italian Ambassador in Mali, Ali Koulibaly, the Malian Ambassador in Rome, Alessandro Gerbino, Regional Director of ICE – Italian Trade Agency, and Claudia Berlendis of AICS (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation).
