Dubai Municipality’s mobile food testing lab continues inspections to assure food quality and safety in Global Village

Dubai Municipality’s Mobile Food Testing Lab is continuing to conduct inspections to guarantee food safety and quality in the Global Village. This comes as part of the Municipality’s efforts to develop the food safety system in the Emirate of Dubai and boost its position as a global role model and achieving its vision of becoming a pioneering municipality for a global city.

The Mobile Food Testing Lab is one of the leading initiatives of the Dubai Central Laboratory, which has an advanced system for gathering and analyzing samples, for the purpose of ensuring the quality and safety of food at events hosted in the Emirate of Dubai throughout the year. It employs various innovative and modern technologies for carrying out microbiological tests of food products to provide rapid and accurate results, in addition to guaranteeing that the food products adhere to the approved standards.

The Mobile Food Testing Laboratory is one of the leading laboratories in the region, containing advanced technical features and a unique design. Additionally, the lab is the first mobile food laboratory to receive accreditation from the Emirates International Accreditation Centre in accordance with ISO /IEC 17025: 2017, which is related to the general requirements for the efficiency of testing and calibration laboratories. This accreditation has allowed the lab to establish a prominent presence in the field of food inspections.

The Mobile Food Testing Lab has conducted food safety inspections for numerous events held in Dubai, including Expo 2020 Dubai, Dubai World Cup, Dubai Air Show, Dubai Food Festival, and Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, where it played a proactive role in protecting from food risks.
