Hellmann on expansion course: New national company in the Republic of Ireland

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics established a new national company in the Republic of Ireland and opened its first Irish branch at Dublin Airport. From here, the global full-service provider will offer its entire product portfolio: Air- and sea freight to overland transportation and customs clearance. For Hellmann, entering the Irish market is another important step in its growth strategy.

This year, Hellmann has already established additional national companies in Switzerland, Slovakia, and Italy. Now Ireland is the next important European market in which the company is represented with its own company. Due to the strong development of its economy, Ireland is playing an increasingly important role in the European and global markets. Under the leadership of General Director Niamh Savage, the synergies between Ireland and the UK, where Hellmann has been represented for many years, are to be fully captured and strategically expanded. Focus will be on the economically strong and often time-critical pharmaceutical and healthcare industries and the electronics sector.

“The opening of our new national company in the Republic of Ireland is another important milestone in our growth strategy towards a comprehensive European network. On this basis, we can guarantee our customers a wide range of services from a single source. Furthermore, we are delighted to have gained an industry expert for Hellmann in Niamh Savage. Together with her team she will expand our presence in Ireland. In this way, we want to open up new local markets even better and make Ireland a strong player in the global Hellmann network,” says Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO West Europe, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
