Sormac B.V., the leading provider of cutting-edge machinery for the processing of fresh vegetables, has successfully concluded an agreement with Felcon B.V., based in Everdingen, to acquire their product portfolio specializing in vegetable processing. Previously known as Feltracon B.V., Felcon has a long-standing reputation for designing and manufacturing advanced machinery for vegetable and fruit processing.

One of Felcon’s flagship products is the vertical centrifuge, renowned for its exceptional performance in drying hard and robust vegetables such as iceberg lettuce, cabbage, carrots, and onions. This innovative machine perfectly complements Sormac’s existing line of vegetable drying solutions, which now encompasses basket centrifuges, vertical centrifuges, horizontal centrifuges, and air drying tunnels.
According to Roy Lemmen, Sormac’s Commercial Director, “The addition of Felcon machines to our delivery program allows us to fill a crucial gap, ensuring our program is now even more comprehensive. Drying vegetables is our area of expertise, and with this strategic acquisition, we are well-equipped to offer the best solution to every customer for every product.”
Effective immediately, all aspects of sales, production, and service for the vegetable processing machines will be consolidated at Sormac’s head office in Venlo. This integration ensures streamlined operations, enhanced customer support, and optimized delivery times.
Sormac remains committed to maintaining its position as a market leader, consistently delivering cutting-edge solutions and offering unparalleled service to its valued customers. The acquisition of Felcon’s product portfolio marks a significant milestone in Sormac’s growth strategy, enabling the company to meet the evolving needs of the industry and strengthen its market presence.
